Welcome to our wonderful, large Edwardian 6 bedroom House set in 3 acres of gardens and woodland. This grand house offers 5500 square feet of luxury accommodation including 6 double bedrooms with zip link king size beds, we can accommodate large groups of up to 18 people or more in style and comfort. We have a large kitchen and utility room, garden room, large dining room, 2 lounges and feature oak staircase. Plus gardens and woods. A place in North Norfolk to enjoy.  5 mins to the coast and convenient for all that North Norfolk has to offer.

About High House

We have provided a fully equipped 6 bedroom house set in 3 acres of land that can be enjoyed by large families, more than one family or large groups. You will enter a very spacious hall with high ceilings (a common theme throughout the property), which sets the tone for a house typical of the Edwardian era. The large double rooms are fitted with king sized beds which are also zip linked, so they can be separated into single beds if required. There is a TV lounge (with a 50″ widescreen smart TV plus Sky Q), a quiet lounge, a large dining room, furnished with solid oak tables and chairs, that can accommodate up to 18 guests. This leads directly to a large kitchen with a separate large kitchen table that seats 8 easily. The kitchen is fully equipped with all crockery, cutlery, mats, saucepans and general kitchen items. There is also a toaster, coffee percolator, kettle, chopping boards and full set of knives, plus a fridge freezer, dishwasher and range cooker. Through another door you will find the garden room which is 46 feet long and has an additional widescreen TV with Sky Q. Plus a 6 ft pool table and plenty of chairs for your comfort. There are two downstairs WCs and four main bathrooms , two of which are en suite. With showers and baths. The bedrooms are very spacious and again equipped with double wardrobes and chests plus lamps and extra bedding. So many options for use here. Wedding venue, murder mystery weekend, family reunion. Or just a quiet holiday away from it all. We will work with you to provide the ideal setting for your stay. We will accept pets on request.

Thorpe Market and surrounding area

Thorpe Market is conveniently located within 5 mins drive to Cromer and the beach. The house itself has its own prominent but private position on the outskirts of the village. Set in its own 3 acre grounds. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping , cafes and bars in Cromer and further afield in Sheringham and Holt. Locally in the village is The Gunton Arms for a nice Sunday roast or a few drinks. Within 5 mins drive at Roughton are Groveland Farm shop, a fish and chip shop and a Thai restaurant. Plus a petrol station with groceries. You can also get deliveries from Waitrose and Tesco in the area. For those preferring a good walk the beach can be reached within 40 minutes via Overstrand about 5 miles away. Local activities within easy drive include go karting, bowling, fishing and horse riding.

We occasionally have shorter stays , special rates or an odd two days available. Please email if you have any interest in these.

 

All bookings are subject to a £125 service charge and require a £250 damage deposit prior to arrival. The damage deposit will be repaid subject to property inspection within 8 to 14 days.

Once booked an invoice for 50% of the total will be emailed to you which is payable within 24 hours in order to confirm the booking.

All bookings require a 50% deposit to confirm. The balance is payable 60 days prior to arrival.

Bank transfer and credit/debit card payments are accepted.

Cancellation terms.

The deposit is refundable if a booking is cancelled at least 90 days prior to arrival. Cancellations within 90 days of arrival will not receive any refund. Exceptions are cancellations made within 24 hours of any booking being made.
